NATO AGS performs persistent surveillance over wide areas through High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) Remotely Piloted Vehicle (RPV), operating in any weather or light condition. These aircrafts called RQ-4B (Global Hawk), are equipped with advanced radar sensors that are able to detect any moving object on the ground.
The Operations Wing is one of the two AGS Component Wings and is comprised of staff to do the following functions: operations support, mission flight planning, ISR collection, sensor planning, exploitation and correlation of ISR data, and deployable ground station operations.
The Training Branch is responsible for implementation and conduction of classroom, simulator and in-flight training of flight deck and ISR crew personnel.
The incumbent ensures that the AGS training requirements are properly staffed and properly taught to ensure adequate support for the AGS ISR missions.
